Stewardship and Giving

People regularly comment on the inspiration, peace or transformation they have experienced at Christ Church. But what isn't always obvious is that this work requires financial support. The ministry of Christ Church is funded entirely by the generosity of our members and friends. Our location and the splendor of our sanctuary might suggest otherwise, but without individual contributions we could not accomplish our work and maintain the glorious building that is home not only to our members, but also to New Yorkers and tourists who find solace and peace within this sacred space.

We believe that faithful stewardship of our talents, time, energy and financial resources is central to the Christian life. How we spend our time, how we use our talents and energy, and where we spend our personal resources say much about the content of our lives. We are convinced that the best way to exercise faithful stewardship of resources is to put them in service of God and neighbor. Our mission to seek to love God above all things and our neighbors as ourselves is what motivates this community of faith. In order to live that mission in a vibrant and dynamic manner, we need the support of all who are able to contribute.

A dynamic, growing ministry to children and families in New York City
Spiritual growth opportunities, including courses and classes on the Christian life, spirituality and interfaith concerns taught by our clergy, laity and other leading thinkers and teachers
Expansive Outreach volunteer opportunities that serve New York's poor and homeless, children, elderly, and recent immigrants. Our work reaches beyond the city, involving volunteer efforts nationally and globally
Active and diverse community building endeavors with programs for all age levels, affinity groups and interests, as well as a thriving small group ministry that helps our growing church remain a community
Attract and retain an excellent staff who are creatively and energetically leading the ministry of Christ Church
Maintain the beauty and architectural significance of our sacred space so that it can truly be a sanctuary of peace and house of prayer for all New Yorkers
