Becoming a Member of Christ Church
Wherever you are on your spiritual journey in Christ, you are welcome at Christ Church. You do not have to join in order to participate in worship, many areas of serving, Connect Groups or classes. Yet, for those who wish to join us in the mission to love God above all things and our neighbors as ourselves, membership is an excellent way to live out that mission. This mission requires partners and fellow travelers on the journey, and membership is way of deepening your commitment to this larger purpose. We believe that growth in your intention to love God and neighbor happens through:
- Worship - joining with the faith community to worship God
- Prayer and Meditation - developing a regular practice of praying individually and with others
- Scripture Reflection - reading, studying and reflecting on the Bible
- Financial Generosity - giving to others or to organizations that help those in need (like the church)
- Faith Sharing - learning to share your story with others
- Works of mercy - using your time, talents and resources in service to those in need
- Connection Group Community - committing to a small group of people with whom to walk the journey of faith
If exploring membership in Christ Church is of interest to you, please note that members are received into the church four times a year, after they have been through our membership class which introduces you to life at Christ Church. The next membership classes will begin on: June 10th, 2012.
