Youth

Our youth program includes opportunities for children in 7th grade and older to come together for fellowship, group discussions, worship, Bible study and service. We believe these encounters help our youth develop lasting friendships, as they start to figure out who they are and transition into young adulthood and the larger Christian community. If you (or your child) is interested in participating in any of these programs, please contact Alison VanBuskirk or Sajan Philip.

Sunday Mornings

The Youth Group meets each Sunday morning at 9:45 on the 4th floor. Group discussions include Bible study and relevant topics for persons in this age group.

Bell Choir

The bell choir meets Thursday afternoons at 4:30 under the direction of Cory Davis.

Service

Participants in the Youth Group join other Christ Church volunteers to prepare and serve a hot meal to 40 - 60 homeless and less fortunate neighbors in Phillips Hall on the third Sunday of each month. Other service projects are also being planned. The group traveled to New Orleans in July to help our neighbors still recovering from Hurricane Katrina.

Social Events

A variety of social events are planned for the Youth Group throughout the year, including movie and game nights, weekend retreats, a Thanksgiving dinner and a hiking trip.

Breakfast Angels for Youth Group

The youth meet at 9:45 Sunday mornings for Bible study and fellowship. You can support the ministry by volunteering to provide breakfast goodies such as muffins, fruit salad, quiche or bagels for at least 10 youth. If you would like to be a breakfast angel, please contact Sajan Philip or Alison VanBuskirk, or sign up at coffee hour.
